The 34th running of the International Marathon of Marrakech takes place on January 28, 2024. More than 12,000 athletes from around the world are expected to participate in one of the world's most prestigious marathons on the traditional course around the city walls and the ancient medina within. The circuit is flat and, scenically, among the most beautiful as well as fastest in the international marathon calendar, taking in the elegant boulevards of the city's Hivernage quarter lined with palms, orange and olive trees, as well the imposing city ramparts and monumental gates. The International Marathon of Marrakech is also an outstanding tourist attraction which makes the beautiful pink city, during this month of January, one of the favourite destinations for thousands of Moroccan and foreign visitors.
